“Come and Sing with Ruddington & District Choral Society!”

Ruddington & District Choral Society is beginning its new season tonight – and is inviting villagers who like to sing to come forward.

Publicity officer Pat Beale says: “Want to feel exhilarated, inspired and joyous? Want to do something that enriches your life and the lives of others? Want to be part of something that brings you into contact with likeminded people? Want to do something that will not only make you feel better, but will actually do you good? Want to enjoy and create some of the world’s greatest music? If the answer to any of these questions is “Yes,” then come along and sing with theRuddington & District Choral Society!

The society (RDCS for short) was formed in 1962 as an evening class and has since grown and developed into a group of around sixty members who live in the Nottingham area. They meet in Ruddington on Monday evenings in school terms, generally from September to May.

Pat continues: “We’re currently seeking to expand and are accepting new members. Whether you’re a soprano, alto, tenor or bass (we’re especially keen to enlist a few more men!), we’d love you to join us.”

Rehearsals begin on Monday 9th September from 7.15pm to 9.15pm, and then take place on subsequent Monday evenings at St Peter’s Junior School.

For further details you can ring 0115 9211 451, contact them via www.ruddingtonchoral.com or visit the RDCS Facebook page.
